Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions
In this agreement, "we," "us," and "the company" refer to Mikes Audio and Visuals. "You," "the customer," or "the hirer" refers to the individual or entity hiring equipment or services.
2. Responsibility for Equipment
You assume full responsibility for any loss or damage to the equipment from the moment it is delivered or collected until its safe return. You must ensure adequate protection against theft, fire, and misuse. In the event that equipment is not returned, you will be charged the full replacement cost.
3. Plugs and Connectors
Plugs, sockets, and connectors must not be removed or tampered with. Adaptors are available upon request. Unauthorised modifications or disassembly of equipment will incur additional charges.
4. Regulations Compliance
You are responsible for adhering to all relevant regulations, rules, and statutory provisions during the hire period. You agree to indemnify the company against any liability arising from non-compliance.
5. Ownership of Equipment
All hired items remain the property of Mikes Audio and Visuals at all times.
6. Delivery and Collection
Quotes for delivery and collection are approximate and may vary depending on the size of the vehicle required.
7. Damage Reporting
You must report any damage to the equipment within 24 hours of delivery. Equipment that is not returned or is damaged beyond rehire standards will be considered still on hire until payment for repair or replacement is received.
8. Faulty Equipment
Any issues or faulty equipment must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Failure to do so may result in full invoice charges.
9. No Responsibility for Third-Party Equipment
We accept no responsibility for the functionality of our equipment when used in conjunction with third-party equipment or resources, including power supplies.
10. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made within 7 days of the hire date will incur full hire charges, excluding delivery and collection fees.
11. Security Deposit
Deposits are required to secure equipment and services and will be refunded after the equipment is returned in satisfactory condition. The deposit amount will reflect the value of the equipment and will only be refunded following an inspection.
12. PAT Testing and Inspection
All our electrical equipment undergoes annual PAT testing and visual inspections after each hire. We certify that all equipment is in good working order prior to hire.
13. Intended Use
Please inform us of the intended use of the equipment so we can provide appropriate recommendations. Failure to disclose accurate information may result in your liability for any environmental damage or unsuitability of the equipment.
14. Termination of Hire
We reserve the right to terminate the hire at any time if the equipment is being used inappropriately, illegally, or unsafely. You will remain liable for the equipment's value in such cases.
